Residential Surveys

Which type of survey is most appropriate?
The most common answer, usually by other surveying firms is: Homebuyer Reports for modern properties, and
Building Surveys (Full Structural Surveys) for older properties, or those that have been altered significantly.

In our case, as the actual survey inspection is the same, and both types of survey identify the significant defects, the difference is only in the type and ‘readability’ of report you receive.

Homebuyer Reports are concise, printed on a fixed 10 page template, and are less expensive; but always cover the main issues.

Our Building Surveys (Full Structural Surveys) are bespoke reports with photographs, repair costs, and space to address any specific client queries; so their advice is generally broader and more helpful.

Commercial Surveys
We specialise in undertaking structural surveys on all types of commercial properties, including shops, offices, and industrial premises.

The preparation of a Commercial Survey Report differs in several ways to a residential survey. Repairing covenants, length of lease, and liability for dilapidations and repairs are important issues that are discussed in detail within our Commercial Survey reports.
