MPC Chartered Surveyors - Property Surveys for London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey.
MPC focus exclusively on high quality structural surveys and homebuyer reports for a wide range of clients purchasing all types of property.
We are Structural surveyors, surveys are all we do. (We don't do valuations, because the Lenders do them).
We are regulated by the RICS, and our two senior Chartered Building Surveyors are amongst the most experienced in the profession, with over 25 years’ survey experience each.
The housing market will remain "robust" in the coming months despite property prices dipping slightly in September, Halifax has reported.
A 0.9% monthly fall in property values last month took the typical price of a home to £202,859 - which is still 8.6% higher than a year ago. Halifax said that monthly price movements can be volatile and quarterly changes can often be a more reliable indicator of the underlying direction of the housing market. On a quarterly basis, house prices between July and September were 2% higher than during the previous three months.
A lack of homes for sale, continued low mortgage rates and economic growth are likely to continue to drive housing market demand in the coming months, Halifax said.
Housing economist Martin Ellis said: "Housing demand has been strengthening recently, underpinned by economic growth, rising real earnings and very low mortgage rates.
"Increasing demand is combining with very low supply to drive robust underlying house price growth. There is little reason to expect any fundamental shift in the key market drivers over the coming months."

A Homebuyer Plus+ Report
At MPC we no longer use the standard RICS pre-formatted Homebuyer as we favour our own bespoke report that provides additional information.
Our unique reports are essentially a condensed Full Structural survey, based on the same thorough examination of the property, but without extended explanations or photographs. This makes them more affordable.
As the Lender does a valuation, we avoid unnecessary duplication and provide instead a useful Table of Estimated Repair Costs.
Our Homebuyer Plus+ identifies the main defects and structural problems with the property and presents them in a concise and clear report written in plain English.

Which type of survey is most appropriate?
A Full Structural survey (Building survey) is the most comprehensive survey you can buy. It is suited to older properties and those that have been altered significantly. Our unique Homebuyer Plus+ surveys are scaled down in size, do not include photographs, and report on the major defects and problems only.
All our reports are in jargon free English, with a Summary page drawing together the main issues.
